Sales Engineer | Job Description

The Opportunity

Mechanical Concepts leads the commercial and industrial HVAC market in North Louisiana, East Texas and South Arkansas through innovative technologies and system application and superior customer service. As such, we require an engineer who will play a key role in the growth of our business in East Texas. This is a large opportunity and the chosen candidate will work closely with the Mechanical Concepts partners and peer engineers in positioning our products and services to external decision makers and influencers. You will also be involved in the selection and pricing of products. We will offer full training of the products and job duties. There is excellent career growth for the right person.

 

Education  & Experience

  • Engineering degree, preferably in mechanical but we will consider other disciplines depending on knowledge and experience
  • Sales experience within the construction/technical field is an asset but not necessary
  • Experience with heating and air conditioning systems is an asset but not necessary

About You

  • Are adept at outlining technical features
  • Enjoy presenting to small or large groups of primarily technical people
  • Know how to sell value (it’s not the cheapest product)
  •  Understand the importance of face:face meetings with clients and prospects with a focus on being kept up to date on current and future projects and needs
  • Good negotiating skills
  • Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills
  • Well organized and disciplined work habits
  • Your own car is required
